Based on the Sagas of Icelanders, Saga Fest is a music and arts festival where attendees are encouraged to share community-building experiences that foster vulnerability and promote sustainable living. Together, we will build a pop-up village that promotes openness, creativity and transformation.
The pop-up village will include two stages for music performances, art and dance; a community stage for poets, storytellers and community members to perform and share; geodesic domes built for workshops and late-night DJs; a bonfire for storytelling around the sagas and southern coastland; a focus on local food and communal eating experiences; and participatory art experiences.
The inaugural festival takes place on Stokkseyrarsel, a sustainable farm in Iceland nestled between the highland mountains and the North Atlantic ocean near the small village of Eyrarbakki. The festival’s mission is to bring people together, to help participants re-connect to themselves, each other and nature.
